Mobile data not working while travelling outside Belgium?

 

Don’t worry, we’ll guide you step by step.

For Android

Step 1: Check your DIGI STK setting

When you insert your SIM card, the DIGI STK app is automatically installed on your phone. We have to types of SIM cards, each with a slightly different menu:

SIM type A (light blue):

  1. Open the DIGI STK app
  2. Select RBroker
  3. Select Account Selection
  4. Select Manual
  5. Select RBroker again
  6. Go to Country Menu
  • Choose DIGI BE if you are in one of the countries in our DIGI BE list. 

DIGI BE list: Albania, Austria, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cape Verde, Colombia, Congo, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, El Salvador, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guatemala, Guinea, Honduras, Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Ivory Coast, Kosovo, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Maldives, Mali, Malta, Morocco, Mauritania, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Paraguay, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, United Kingdom, Vietnam.

  • Choose Sponsor if you are in any other country where DIGI offers roaming.

🛈 DIGI offers roaming in all countries except: Algeria, Bhutan, Eritrea, Falkland Islands, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Libya, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, New Caledonia, Norfolk Island, Somalia, Swaziland, Venezuela, and Yemen.

SIM type B (dark blue):

  1. Open the DIGI STK app
  2. Select Multi IMSI
  3. Select Mode
  4. Select Manual
  5. Go to Country Menu
  • Choose DIGI BE if you are in one of the countries in our DIGI BE list. 

DIGI BE list: Albania, Austria, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cape Verde, Colombia, Congo, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, El Salvador, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guatemala, Guinea, Honduras, Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Ivory Coast, Kosovo, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Maldives, Mali, Malta, Morocco, Mauritania, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Paraguay, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, United Kingdom, Vietnam.

  • Choose Sponsor if you are in any other country where DIGI offers roaming.

If your mobile data still isn’t working after Step 1, continue with Step 2.

Step 2: Set up your APN

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Connections
  3. Select Mobile Networks
  4. Select Access Point Names
  5. Tap the three dots in the top-right corner
  6. Select Reset to default
  7. Tap + to add a new APN:
  • If you are visiting a country in the DIGI BE list:

    • Name: DIGI

    • APN: web

    • MCC: 206

    • MNC: 12

  • If you are visiting another country where DIGI offers roaming:

    • Name: DIGI

    • APN: web

    • MCC: 226

    • MNC: 05

 

8. Tap the three dots in the top-right corner and select Save

Leave all other fields as they are.

Step 3: Check your VoLTE settings (optional)

Not every phone supports VoLTE, but if yours does, we recommend enabling it. VoLTE can give you a more stable connection while abroad.

General Android instructions:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Connections or Network & Internet
  3. Go to Mobile Networks or SIM & Network
  4. Look for VoLTE calls or 4G calls
  5. Switch to ON

Device-specific instructions:

  • Samsung: Settings Connections Mobile Networks VoLTE calls Switch to ON
  • Xiaomi: Settings SIM Cards & Mobile Networks Select SIM Enable ‘Use VoLTE’
  • Huawei: Settings Mobile Network Mobile Data Enable VoLTE calls
  • Motorola: Settings Network & Internet Mobile Network Advanced Enable VoLTE calls

If you still experience mobile data issues, try tuning VoLTE off temporarily.

For iPhone

Step 1: Check your DIGI STK setting

  3. Select Mobile Data Network
  4. Scroll down to the bottom and tap Reset Settings

Then fill in the following fields:

  • Mobile Data:

    • Naam: DIGI

    • APN: web

    • Leave all other fields blank

  • Personal Hotspot:

    • Naam: DIGI

    • APN: web

    • Leave all other fields blank

Step 3: Check your VoLTE settings (optional)

Not every phone supports VoLTE, but if yours does, we recommend enabling it. VoLTE can give you a more stable connection while abroad.

To enable VoLTE:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Mobile Data
  3. Select Mobile Data Options
  4. Select Voice & Data
  5. Select 4G (or LTE) and make sure VoLTE is enabled

If you still experience mobile data issues, try tuning VoLTE off temporarily.
