Yes, you can change your plan at any time, up to once per month. The change takes effect on the first day of the month following your request. From that date, your new subscription will be activated and invoiced. This applies to both physical SIM cards and eSIMs.

An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card built into your smartphone. You therefore no longer need to insert a physical SIM card into your device.

After your order, your eSIM is activated automatically. This means that your subscription and billing start from the day of your order.

To use your eSIM on your smartphone, simply scan the QR code in MyDIGI. You’ll be connected to the DIGI network in just a few minutes. Note: if you want to keep your current number, don't forget to request your number transfer via 02 870 10 01.

Benefits of an eSIM:

• Instant activation: No need to wait for delivery; your eSIM is ready to use immediately.
• Multiple numbers: You can manage multiple mobile numbers on one device.
• Secure: An eSIM cannot be stolen and is much harder to hack.

At the moment, our eSIM is only available for certain smartphone models, not for other devices like tablets or smartwatches.

Absolutely! During your order, you can choose whether you want a new number or want to keep your existing one.

• Physical SIM card: you perform the number transfer during the activation of your SIM card.
• eSIM: you perform the number transfer after installing the eSIM on your device.

After your order, you will receive clear instructions by email on how to transfer your number. Ordering in-store? Our staff will gladly assist you with the transfer.

If you have a prepaid card (= you need to reload your card), we’ll need your SIM card number from your current operator.

What is a SIM card number?

Your SIM card number, also called ICCID, is a unique identifier for your SIM card. It’s a series of 13-19 digits.

Where can I find my SIM card number?

• On the SIM card itself: Look on the back of your SIM card for a 13-19-digit number. That’s your ICCID.
• In your phone settings:

iPhone:

1. Go to settings
2. Tap ‘General’
3. Tab ‘About’
4. Find your ICCID

Android:

1. Go to settings
2. Tap ‘About phone’ or ‘About device’ (depending on the model)
3. Tap ‘SIM status’
4. Find your ICCID

• In your provider’s app or online account: Log in and find your ICCID in your settings.

When placing your order, you can choose between an eSIM or a physical SIM card. If you select an eSIM, you will receive an email after your order with clear instructions on how to install it.

• If you chose a new number, your eSIM will be ready to use immediately after installation.
• If you chose to keep your existing number, you will need to transfer your number after installing the eSIM to use your current number. Until then, you will use a temporary number.

Please note: Your eSIM is automatically activated upon order. This means that billing starts from the day of your order.

• Keep your mobile number

1. Keep your old SIM card in your phone and call 02 870 10 01 to start the transfer process.
2. Please keep in mind that the transfer may take up to 24 hours to complete, weekends not included.
3. Once the transfer is complete, your old SIM card will lose its connection. Now, insert your new DIGI SIM card into your phone.
4. Set up mobile data by configuring the APN settings. You can find the instructions here.

• New DIGI number

1. Insert your DIGI SIM card into your phone.
2. Call 02 870 10 01  and follow the instructions to activate your SIM card.

• Multiple SIM cards?

If you've ordered an eSIM, it is active immediately. You only need to install it correctly and, if you want to keep your existing number, perform the number transfer. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Install your eSIM on your phone

1. Log in to MyDIGI.
2. Navigate to ‘My products’ and click ‘Manage’ next to the corresponding mobile subscription.
3. Click ‘Settings’ and choose ‘Get eSIM QR code’.
4. Scan the QR code with the phone you want to install eSIM on.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Step 2: Connect your number to the DIGI network

• If you chose a new number: once your eSIM is installed, it is active and your phone will automatically switch to the DIGI network. 
• If you chose to keep your current number:

1. Keep your old SIM card from your previous provider in your phone (unless you are already using an eSIM).
2. Call 02 870 10 01 and follow the instructions to transfer your number. The transfer is completed within 24 hours (excluding weekends).
3. Once the transfer is complete, your phone will automatically switch to the DIGI network.

Step 3: Set up your mobile network

Follow the instructions to configure your mobile network: www.digi-belgium.be/en/apn.

Have multiple eSIMs? Just repeat these steps for each number.

Roaming lets you use your smartphone when you're outside your home network area, like when you're travelling abroad. It allows you to call, text, and use the internet through local networks in that country.

Voicemail is used less and less these days. Many people now prefer messaging apps like WhatsApp, which let you send voice messages without needing a traditional voicemail service.

If someone tries to reach you while you're unavailable (for example, if your phone is turned off, in airplane mode, or out of network coverage), you will receive an SMS notification once your phone is back online.

The first thing to do is to identify where your contacts are currently stored. To do this, simply consult your mobile phone's settings. If your contacts are stored :

• in the cloud: Great news! Simply insert your new SIM card and your contacts will automatically synchronize.
• on your phone: In this case, you're all set too! You can change your SIM card and your contacts will be automatically available.
• on your SIM card: You'll need to back up your contacts before changing SIM cards, by following the steps below.

How do I back up my contacts?

The most widespread backup method is the cloud, i.e. saving your data online. It's simple, secure and offers many advantages. To make life easier for you, we've compiled below the procedures to follow, depending on your smartphone and mobile operating system:

• If you have an iPhone, click here.
• If you have an Android smartphone, click here.

Once you've done this, you'll have an up-to-date copy of your contacts on iCloud if you have an iPhone, in your Gmail account if you use an Android smartphone, or in your Outlook account if you have Windows Phone. You can then switch SIM cards in total security.

You can find your PIN and PUK code on the card from which you removed your SIM card. You can also find your PUK code in MyDIGI via ‘My products’ → ‘Manage’ → ‘Settings’.

Please note: the SIM PIN code is not requested by default when you restart your phone. If you want extra security, you can activate and/or change the PIN code in your phone’s settings. Once activated, your phone will ask for the PIN code each time you restart it.

You can consult your phone’s user manual for more information.

If your plan includes unlimited calls and texts, we have a Fair Usage Policy to prevent misuse:

• Max. 6,000 call minutes per month
• Max. 6,000 SMS per month
• Max. 500 SMS per day
• Max. 100 SMS per hour
• Max. 30 SMS with identical content per hour
• Max. 250 different recipients per month
• Max. 300 SMS imbalance between sent and received SMS per month

If you exceed these limits, you’ll be charged for the services at the rates listed in the price list. In addition, DIGI may restrict, suspend, or terminate your service in line with article 5.3, paragraph 2 of the General Terms and Conditions.

LTE (short for “Long Term Evolution”) is just another name for 4G. When 4G standards were set in 2008, different terms were introduced to describe high-speed mobile networks. Some phones use “4G”, while others display “LTE” —but either way, you’re getting fast, reliable internet.

What is VoLTE? 

VoLTE (Voice over LTE) lets you make calls over 4G while using mobile data at the same time. This means:  

✓ Clearer calls with better sound quality 

✓ No interruptions; you can browse and stream during calls 

✓ Better coverage in areas with strong 4G 

To activate VoLTE, you need a compatible smartphone. Currently, VoLTE is supported on Apple and Xiaomi devices (more brands coming soon!). 

How do I activate VoLTE? 

• On iPhone: 

1. Update your phone to the latest software. 
2. Go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options. Activate 4G and enable Voice & Data. 
3. Restart your phone. 

• On Xiaomi: 

1. Update your phone to the latest software. 
2. Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks, then turn on VoLTE calls. 
3. Restart your phone. 

If VoLTE is active, you’ll see the VoLTE icon during calls. 

Currently, DIGI does not offer VoWiFi services. We’re always working to improve our offerings, so stay tuned for any future updates!

Absolutely! You can easily transfer your mobile number from your current operator to DIGI. We take care of everything.

No. If you want to use your eSIM on another device, we will send you a new eSIM with a new installation code. Please note: a fee of €1 applies for the new code.

• SIM card: we will send you a new SIM card as soon as possible.

• Check the position of your SIM card

There may be a poor connection between your SIM card and your phone. Turn off your phone, remove your SIM card, place it back securely, and restart your phone.

• Test your SIM card in another phone

Try inserting your SIM card into another phone to check whether the issue is with the SIM card or your device.

• Check that mobile data is enabled

Go to your phone’s settings and make sure mobile data is turned on.

• Turn airplane mode on and off

Turn on airplane mode, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back off to refresh your connection.

• Check your network coverage

Try calling or sending a text. If this doesn't work, you might be in an area with poor coverage. Try moving around or going outside to get a better signal.

• Check your mobile network connection

Mobile data works best when your phone is connected to the LTE network. In your network settings, make sure 4G/LTE is enabled.

• Check your subscription or prepaid balance

Ensure you don't have any unpaid invoices, as this may temporarily suspend your mobile internet. If you have a prepaid card, check in MyDIGI that you have enough balance.

• Check your APN settings

Make sure the APN settings are correctly configured. Follow the steps on this page: www.digi-belgium.be/en/apn.

• Still no connection?

Contact our customer service. 

• Check your network connection
  Look at the network bars on your phone. If you see only one or two bars, you might be in an area with weak coverage. Try moving around or stepping outside to get a better signal.
• Test your SIM card in another phone
  Try inserting your SIM card into another phone to check whether the issue is with the SIM card or your device.
• Check your usage
  In some cases, your services may be temporarily restricted:
  
  • Roaming: If you've exceeded your data limit, you can unblock it yourself via MyDIGI.
    
  • Fair Usage Policy: If you've exceeded the usage rules, please contact our customer service.
• Check your invoices
  If you haven't paid your invoices, your subscription may be temporarily blocked. Log in to MyDIGI to check your payment status.

Important: scroll all the way down in your APN settings and check the ‘Personal Hotspot’ section. The APN field must also be set to: web.

• Check your network quality

Make sure the device you’re using as a hotspot has a stable mobile data connection.

• Check that your hotspot is enabled

Go to your settings and make sure the hotspot is turned on. If the hotspot toggle is greyed out and cannot be activated, this is usually caused by incorrect APN settings or poor network quality.
