Can I upgrade or downgrade my mobile plan?

Yes, you can. You may change your plan at any time, up to once per month. The change takes effect on the first day of the month following your request. From that date, your new subscription will be activated and invoiced. This applies to both physical SIM cards and eSIMs.

How do I change my plan?

I'm a business client. How can I place an order for my business?

To place an order for your business, simply visit our website and make your selection. DIGI offers up to six mobile subscriptions for businesses.

Need more than six SIM cards? No problem! Our friends at Citymesh are experts at handling larger orders. They’re happy to help.

What is an eSIM?

An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card that’s built into your smartphone. This means you no longer have to insert a physical SIM card. After placing your order, you can easily activate your eSIM by scanning a QR code in MyDIGI. In just a few minutes, you’ll be connected to the DIGI network. An eSIM offers multiple benefits:

  • No physical SIM card needed
  • Less risk of damage or loss
  • Perfect for dual SIM use (e.g. work and personal on one device)
  • Fast and easy activation
  • Better for the environment

Which devices support eSIM?

At the moment, DIGI eSIM is only available for certain smartphone models, not for other devices like tablets or smartwatches.

Want to know if your smartphone is compatible? Go to our configurator and select ‘eSIM’ to check the list of supported devices.

Can I keep my current number when ordering an eSIM?

Yes, you can. During the ordering process, you’ll be able to choose whether you want to keep your current number or get a new one. If you choose to keep your number, it will be transferred from your previous provider to DIGI.

How do I order an eSIM?

Just select ‘eSIM’ instead of a physical SIM card when placing your order on our website. Once your order is complete, you’ll receive an email with instructions to activate your eSIM.

How do I transfer my contacts to another SIM card?

The first thing to do is to identify where your contacts are currently stored. To do this, simply consult your mobile phone's settings. If your contacts are stored :

  • in the cloud: Great news! Simply insert your new SIM card and your contacts will automatically synchronize.
  • on your phone: In this case, you're all set too! You can change your SIM card and your contacts will be automatically available.
  • on your SIM card: You'll need to back up your contacts before changing SIM cards, by following the steps below.

How do I back up my contacts?

The most widespread backup method is the cloud, i.e. saving your data online. It's simple, secure and offers many advantages. To make life easier for you, we've compiled below the procedures to follow, depending on your smartphone and mobile operating system:

  • If you have an iPhone, click here.
  • If you have an Android smartphone, click here.

Once you've done this, you'll have an up-to-date copy of your contacts on iCloud if you have an iPhone, in your Gmail account if you use an Android smartphone, or in your Outlook account if you have Windows Phone. You can then switch SIM cards in total security.

Where can I find my PIN and PUK code?

You can find your PIN and PUK code on the card from which you removed your SIM card.

How do I change my PIN code?

Most mobile phones allow you to change the PIN code directly in the phone menu. Your mobile phone's user manual will help you with this.

Does DIGI offer 5G?

At DIGI, we're working on rolling out our own 5G network. Our goal is to cover 30% of the population by the end of 2025 and nearly 100% by 2030. But no worries! Thanks to our strategic partnership with Proximus, you benefit from reliable 4G coverage across Belgium while we build our network.

What are the benefits of 5G?

  • Ultra-high speed: Download up to 10x faster and stream, browse, and game with ultra short loading times.
  • Ultra-stable connection: Stay connected without interruptions, even in crowded places like large events or trains.
  • Ultra-low latency: Enjoy real-time cloud gaming, virtual reality, and lag-free video calls.

Do I really get unlimited calls and SMS?

With DIGI Mobile, you get unlimited calls & SMS. However, to prevent misuse, we apply a Fair Usage Policy:
  • Max 6,000 minutes per month.
  • Max 6,000 SMS per month or 500 SMS per day.
  • Max 250 different recipients per month.

If you exceed these limits, your usage will be blocked, but don't worry, you won't face any extra charges.

How can I avoid bill shocks?

Mobile internet
Your plan includes a fixed amount of data per month. We'll send you a notification when you've used 80% and 100% of your bundle. Want to keep surfing? No problem. Extra data usage will only cost you €0.0006/MB (or €0.60/GB).

Budget control
In MyDIGI, you can set a monthly limit for usage outside your bundle (between €0 and €100). The default limit is €20. When you reach your limit, you'll receive a notification. Note: this is just a warning; your usage won't be blocked.

Does DIGI offer roaming in all countries?

We have roaming agreements in all the countries except for: Algeria, Bhutan, Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Eritrea, Falkland Islands Malvinas, Liberia, Libya, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, New Caledonia, Norfolk Island, Somalia, Swaziland/Kingdom of Eswatini, Venezuela, and Yemen.

We are working hard to extend coverage to these countries as soon as possible.

Why does my smartphone display LTE instead of 4G?

LTE (short for “Long Term Evolution”) is just another name for 4G. When 4G standards were set in 2008, different terms were introduced to describe high-speed mobile networks. Some phones use “4G”, while others display “LTE” —but either way, you’re getting fast, reliable internet.

VoLTE: What is it and how do I activate it?

What is VoLTE?

VoLTE (Voice over LTE) lets you make calls over 4G while using mobile data at the same time. This means:

Clearer calls with better sound quality

No interruptions; you can browse and stream during calls

Better coverage in areas with strong 4G

To activate VoLTE, you need a compatible smartphone. Currently, VoLTE is supported on Apple and Xiaomi devices (more brands coming soon!).

How do I activate VoLTE?

  • On iPhone:
  1. Update your phone to the latest software.
  2. Go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options. Activate 4G and enable Voice & Data.
  3. Restart your phone.

  • On Xiaomi:
  1. Update your phone to the latest software.
  2. Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks, then turn on VoLTE calls.
  3. Restart your phone.

If VoLTE is active, you’ll see the VoLTE icon during calls.

Does DIGI offer VoWiFi?

Currently, DIGI does not offer VoWiFi services. We’re always working to improve our offerings, so stay tuned for any future updates!

Can I transfer my mobile number from my current operator to DIGI?

Absolutely! You can easily transfer your mobile number from your current operator to DIGI. We take care of everything.

What information do we need from you (if you have a postpaid subscription)?

If you have a postpaid subscription (= you pay a monthly fee), we’ll need your customer number from your current operator. You’ve received this number when you became their customer.

Where can I find my customer number?
Check one of your invoices (usually in the top left corner) or log in to your current operator’s customer zone or mobile app.

What information do we need from you (if you have a prepaid subscription)?

If you have a prepaid card (= you need to reload your card), we’ll need your SIM card number from your current operator.

What is a SIM card number?

Your SIM card number, also called ICCID, is a unique identifier for your SIM card. It’s a series of 13-19 digits.

Where can I find my SIM card number?

  • On the SIM card itself: Look on the back of your SIM card for a 13-19-digit number. That’s your ICCID.
  • In your phone settings:

iPhone:

  1. Go to settings
  2. Tap ‘General’
  3. Tab ‘About’
  4. Find your ICCID

Android:

  1. Go to settings
  2. Tap ‘About phone’ or ‘About device’ (depending on the model)
  3. Tap ‘SIM status’
  4. Find your ICCID
  • In your provider’s app or online account: Log in and find your ICCID in your settings.

Technical problem

How do I block my SIM card?

Contact our customer care team. We'll block your SIM card and send you a new one right away.

What should I do if my SIM card is damaged?

Contact our customer care team. We'll send you a new SIM card by mail, and your phone number will stay the same. Please note: a fee of €3 applies for the new SIM card.

My SIM card isn't working properly, what should I do?

Check the positioning of your SIM card

The problem may be due to poor contact between your device and the SIM card. Remove the SIM card and replace it correctly. Then switch your device off and on again.

Check your mobile phone

If you can, insert your SIM card in another mobile phone to make sure that the card is actually damaged or faulty.

If your SIM card doesn't work even when inserted in another mobile phone, you may need to replace it. Follow the procedure below:

  • Contact the DIGI Customer Care
  • A new SIM card will be sent to you by post.
  • Please note that when you exchange your SIM card, you keep your mobile phone number.

I don't have an Internet connection on my phone. What should I do?

  • Check airplane mode
If airplane mode is on, your phone can't connect to the mobile network, so you won't have internet access. Make sure airplane mode is turned off.
  • Check your network connection
Try calling or sending a text. If this doesn't work, you might be in an area without coverage. Move around or go outside to get a better signal.
  • Check your APN settings
Make sure the APN settings on your phone are correct. Follow the steps here: www.digi-belgium.be/en/apn.
  • Still no connection?
    Contact our customer care team.

Travelling to the USA?
Please note that standard calls and texts may not work in the USA due to the phase-out of 2G and 3G. But don't worry, mobile internet works fine, so you can easily stay connected via apps like WhatsApp.

I'm having trouble making or receiving calls and texts. What should I do?

  • Check your network connection
Look at the network bars on your phone. If you see only one or two bars, you might be in an area with weak coverage. Try moving around or stepping outside to get a better signal.
  • Test your SIM card in another phone
Try inserting your SIM card into another phone to check whether the issue is with the SIM card or your device.
  • Check your usage
In some cases, your services may be temporarily restricted:
    • Roaming: If you've exceeded your data limit, you can unblock it yourself via MyDIGI.
    • Fair Usage Policy: If you've exceeded the usage rules, please contact our customer care team.
  • Check your invoices
If you haven't paid your invoices, your subscription may be temporarily blocked. Log in to MyDIGI to check your payment status.
  • Still no connection?
    Contact our customer care team.

My eSIM activation QR code doesn’t appear in MyDIGI. What should I do?

Please contact our customer care team.

I’m getting an error when I scan the QR code to activate my eSIM. What should I do?

  • Is your device eSIM-compatible?

  • Is your phone connected to the internet?
Check your Wi-Fi or mobile data connection and try scanning again.
  • Still getting an error message?
    Contact our customer care team.

These cookies are used to deliver advertisements that are more relevant to users and their interests. They track users across websites, collecting data on their browsing behaviour, preferences, and interactions with ads. This information helps advertisers create user profiles and deliver targeted advertising campaigns. For Google advertising cookies specifically you can change settings via Google Ads Preferences Manager. Google also recommends that you install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. If you do not authorise these cookies, your advertising will be less targeted.

  • Even if such cookies are not used, please note that you will still see ads on our site, but they will not be tailored to your interests. These ads may be adjusted based on the content of the page.
